Welcome! We are thrilled you are here! We are organizing a professional photoshoot to revamp the photographs for our website and social media. We are asking for help from our community to gain a broader demographic and a longer-lasting media pool. We will provide the project and all necessary instructions while our photographer documents the process. When you arrive you will be given a skill to showcase, some of which will include sewing, draping, patternmaking, and design. There will be three groups ranging from kids to adults and projects will vary by group. Please note that the projects will act as props during the photoshoot and will remain at the Sewing School.
Junior participants will focus on hand sewing and simple projects such as stuffed animals and clothing.
Youth participants will work on clothing, accessories, and stuffed animal construction.
Adult participants will work on garment construction, pattern making, draping and design.
Instructors and aides will be present to give instruction throughout.
Since this is a styled photoshoot, we ask that every participant dress in a way that fits the business casual and fall/winter aesthetic we are creating. We kindly discourage bright colors. The goal is to create a classic look that will remain relevant over time.
As a thank you, participants will receive a $20 Sonora School of Sewing Gift Certificate, redeemable in our school for notions, fabric, classes, or a gift for anyone you choose. Gift certificates do not expire.
Parents/Guardians are not required to attend. If a parent/guardian would like to be present we ask that only one attend per child due to space limitations.
