Alterations Tailoring & Repair Class.
Includes most materials. 1 day workshop.
Students will learn how to tailor and adjust garments to their body shape. Instructional assistance includes garment alteration, tailoring, and repair work. Students are asked to bring in a garment or project that needs attention in altering, tailoring, or repair that can be accomplished in the allotted time frame. Basic sewing skills required.
Includes materials. 1 day workshop. Age 4 – 6 years.
Students will learn the basics of hand sewing while constructing a felt bird. Instruction covers how to thread a needle, tie a knot, and sew the running stitch. Pre-punched holes will provide a guide to follow, while sewing with yarn and plastic needles.

Children’s Sewing Ornament Workshop

Students will learn how to construct a cloth ornament by hand. Instruction covers pinning, hand sewing, and ornament construction.

Students will learn how to construct a festive Christmas stocking by machine. Instruction covers basic machine operation, pinning, sewing, and constructing a lined stocking.

Students will learn how to construct a stuffed Bear by machine. Instruction covers basic machine operation, pinning, sewing and stuffed animal construction.

Students will learn how to construct a festive stocking by machine. Instruction covers basic machine operation, pinning, sewing, and constructing a lined stocking.

Includes most materials. 2 day weekend course. Saturday & Sunday, January 17 & 18, 9:00am – 5:00pm (1 hr lunch break) Instruction will cover how to properly measure for pants. Using a commercial pattern, students will learn how to create pattern modifications specific to their measurements, layout, cut, assemble a mock-up and do a fitting….

Students will learn how to layout, cut and construct a linen patchwork pouch. Instruction covers how to construct patchwork, how to set a zipper and how to assemble a pouch.
